Urea, also known as carbamide, has the chemical formula CH4N2O or CO(NH2)2. Urea contains 46% nitrogen (N), the highest nitrogen content among solid nitrogen fertilizers. Industrially, urea is synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide under specific conditions.
Classification of Urea:
Urea includes granular urea, small-granular urea, polypeptide urea, slow-release urea, coated urea, and urea-formaldehyde urea, etc.
Based on different uses and properties, urea can be classified into several types. Common classification methods include agricultural urea, industrial urea, and specialty urea. Agricultural urea is specifically designed for agricultural production and adheres to stringent quality standards to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of nutrients to plants. The Functions of Urea:

Urea is one of the main nitrogen-containing fertilizers and plays an important role in promoting plant growth and increasing crop yield.
