Humic acid is a group of black or brown colloidal amorphous polymer organic compounds containing carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and other elements. The internal surface of humic acid is large, which makes its adsorption, adhesion, colloidal dispersibility, etc. good, and the cation exchange capacity is large. The active groups in the humic acid structure, such as carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyl groups, make it acidic, hydrophilic and adsorbent, and can form chelates with certain metal ions. Humic acid fertilizers mainly include ammonium humate, potassium humate, sodium humate and humic acid compound fertilizer. Humic acid is more resistant to microbial decomposition and is a slow-acting organic fertilizer.
