Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Ether for Painting

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Ether for Painting, HEC is a highly efficient non-ionic thickener, water-retaining agent and rheological additive, which can be widely used in various water-based latex paints and surface coatings. It has good biological stability and can provide excellent resistance to biological and chemical degradation.

As a non-ionic surfactant, hydroxyethyl cellulose has the following properties in addition to thickening, suspension, bonding, floating, film-forming, dispersing, water-retaining and protective colloid functions:
HEC is soluble in hot or cold water, and does not precipitate at high temperature or boiling, which makes hydroxyethyl cellulose have a wide range of solubility and viscosity characteristics, and non-thermal gelation;
Hydroxyethyl cellulose has a water-retaining capacity twice that of methyl cellulose and has better flow regulation;
HEC has the worst dispersibility compared to the recognized methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, but has the strongest protective colloid ability.
Hydroxyethyl cellulose itself is non-ionic and can coexist with a wide range of other water-soluble polymers, surfactants, and salts. It is an excellent colloidal thickener for solutions containing high-concentration electrolytes.
Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic fibrous or powdered solid, is prepared by etherification reaction of alkaline cellulose and ethylene oxide (or chloroethanol), and belongs to the non-ionic soluble cellulose ethers. Due to its good thickening, suspension, dispersion, emulsification, adhesion, film formation, moisture protection and provision of protective colloids, HEC has been widely used in the fields of oil extraction, coatings, construction, medicine and food, textiles, papermaking, and polymer polymerization.

PRODUCT IMAGE

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a natural polymer material cellulose as raw material.

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) can be dissolved in cold water to form a transparent, viscous solution.

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC )thickening, Adhesion, dispersion,emulsification, film formation, suspension, adsorption, surface activity, salt resistance, moisture retention and protective colloid.

Application

1.Hydroxyethyl cellulose ether hec is generally used as a thickener, protective agent, adhesive, stabilizer, and additive for the preparation of emulsions, jellies, ointments, lotions, eye drops, suppositories, and tablets.
2.Hydroxyethyl cellulose ether is used as a sizing agent in the textile industry, as an auxiliary agent for bonding, thickening, emulsifying, and stabilizing in the electronics and light industry sectors.
3.Hydroxyethyl cellulose is used as surfactant, colloidal protective agent, emulsification stabilizer for vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and other emulsions, as well as viscosifier, dispersant and dispersion stabilizer for latex.
4.Hydroxyethyl cellulose is widely used in printing and dyeing, textile, papermaking, medicine, sanitation, food, cigarette, pesticide and fire extinguishing agent, etc.

Why Choose Us

The project with an annual output of 5000 tons of hydroxyethyl cellulose constructed by the company adopts the advanced acetone countercurrent washing method, which is the first-class technology in the same industry in China and is in the leading position in China. Through technical innovation, the degree of substitution of hydroxyethyl cellulose products produced by the company has increased by 30-35% compared with other traditional processes, and the product indicators are stable and reliable, which is obviously stronger than the products of the same industry in China in practical application. The hydroxyethyl cellulose products of our company are widely used in daily chemicals, latex coatings, PVC, ceramics and agricultural production. The market potential of this product is huge and the development prospect is broad.
